Positive: Amazing views of the city! A lot of stairs to climb with your bags but the veiw is worth it!

Negative: We booked a specific room on Booking.com that was advertised as having two beds and a terrace with garden views. I specifically chose that room for the terrace. When we checked in, we were initially given a room that did not match our booking, but the staff moved us to a different one upon request. Unfortunately, the new room felt like a dungeon — it was dark, located in the basement, and both felt and smelled damp. There was also a leak coming from upstairs into our bathroom. At one point, there seemed to be an electrical short, and my boyfriend was shocked when plugging something in. The staff were receptive and moved us to an amazing room that finally matched our booking request. We decided to extend our stay in Cusco and, for convenience, remained at the same hotel. The night before our checkout, we spoke with the receptionist, who told us to come down early in the morning (around 3 a.m.) before our hike to get the keys to our new room and transfer our bags. However, when we opened the door to the new room, there were people already sleeping inside! At this point, it really seems like the hotel staff don’t have a good handle on their room management.
