Positive: My husband and I stayed at 18 on the Hill for 3 nights while visiting Greater Kruger National Park, and it was truly an incredible experience from start to finish. Before booking, I spoke with Devorah, the owner, who was absolutely wonderful. I had so many questions, and she was so patient and helpful - she explained everything clearly, shared photos and videos of the lodge and game drives, and really put my mind at ease. Her friendly and genuine approach made me feel so comfortable booking our stay here instead of other places we’d looked at, and I’m so glad we did! Everything about the experience was so personalised - the team went above and beyond to make our stay special. Norma and Nikita looked after us so well throughout our stay and were always available anytime we needed anything. Lucky always greeted us after our game drives with a refreshing drink and the biggest smile, which was such a lovely touch. The chefs were fantastic, and every meal was absolutely delicious! They even packed snacks for us to enjoy during our game drives, which we’d stop to have at beautiful scenic spots each time - such thoughtful attention to detail. Our safari experience was nothing short of magical. Sedwell and Sebastian were exceptional - knowledgeable, passionate, and so skilled at spotting animals from afar, even in the dark! Thanks to them, we managed to see the Big Five within just two hours, which felt surreal. The lodge itself is stunning - beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, with spacious rooms with private plunge pools, a massive bathroom, and an amazing outdoor shower. All the facilities were top-notch and exceeded our expectations. The level of care, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made this one of the most memorable trips we’ve ever had. For the price, it’s an absolute steal. We would 100% go back and recommend 18 on the Hill to everyone looking for an unforgettable South African safari experience!
